CVS Health said Thursday that it will offer COVID-19 vaccinations at 119 more CVS Pharmacy locations for eligible Californians, starting Sunday. CVS says the vaccines will be available at locations in these counties: Alameda, Fresno, Imperial, Kern, Kings, Los Angeles, Madera, Monterey, Napa, Orange, Riverside, Sacramento, San Bernardino, San Diego, San Luis Obispo, San Mateo, Santa Barbara, Santa Clara, Sonoma, Stanislaus, Ventura and Yolo.Appointments must be made online at CVS.com, or through the CVS Pharmacy app, and will be available for booking starting Saturday. People can also call CVS Customer Service at 800-746-7287 to register if they don’t have online access.In California, those eligible for vaccinations now include people 65 and older and those working in agriculture, food, education, child care and emergency services. The new stores are in addition to the 167 CVS locations already giving out the vaccine in the state. Rite Aid, Walgreens and Albertsons Companies stores are also giving vaccinations as part of the Federal Retail Pharmacy Program. Most Californians will be vaccinated at community vaccination sites, doctor’s offices, clinics or pharmacies, according to the state. The latest announcement comes as Target and CVS have partnered to offer vaccinations at more than 600 CVS locations within Target stores across the country. That list includes nine stores within the Sacramento area. Participating stores are in Auburn, Citrus Heights, Davis, Elk Grove, Sacramento, Stockton and Woodland.
